Guests new to Sunset Lodges often ask us what they should pack. To help, below is a detailed list of what’s included and what we suggest bringing along.

Furnishings Provided

Living Room

  • Futon

  • Fireplace with complimentary kindling and firewood
  • Two twin daybeds with pillows, sheets, and linens (except Cabin 7)

Suggested Items to Pack

For indoors

  • Food for meals and snacking
  • Ground coffee (coffee maker and filters provided)
  • Medications and toiletries (a pharmacy is located in nearby Wolfeboro for items accidentally left behind)
  • First-aid kit (in case of minor injuries)
  • Laptop computer and charger (free WiFi is broadcast throughout the grounds)
  • Cell phone and charger
  • A variety of clothes, especially in the fall and spring when temperatures vary widely
  • Swimsuit and sunglasses for the warmer months
  • Your favorite hobbies such as knitting, puzzles, playing cards (an assortment of games may also be found in the cabins and the recreation center)
  • Books to read (if packing light, each cabin has a small lending library)

For outdoors

  • Flashlights
  • Bug spray and sunscreen
  • Outlet converters (two prong to three prong)
  • Beach towels
  • Swimming toys and gear (noodles, blow-up rafts, etc.)
  • Binoculars
  • Motorized watercraft (boat slip included with stay)
  • Charcoal and lighter fluid (charcoal grills provided; gas grill with propane also available for guest use in the pavilion)
  • Fishing rods and tackle
  • Specialty boating, hiking, fishing, and sporting gear
